Cooking is an art form with the added bonus of getting to eat your creation.

In our experience, children of all ages love to cook – often amazing themselves with what they can make. They relish the taste, smell and feel of food, and the freedom to make a proper mess. The true delight however comes from trying and sharing their creations.

Exploring the unusual and the everyday,  our classes take in an enormous variety of vegetarian, vegan, fish and meat dishes. We’ve run sessions on fresh pasta making, Indian cookery, bread basics, pastry skills, Lebanese food, sushi making and baking sponges and biscuits. You can get more of a flavour of what we get up to here.

As well as championing the sheer pleasure of cooking and eating, it’s important to us that our classes offer more than just cooking skills. We believe passionately that all children should learn about the issues surrounding food. So seasonality, nutrition, provenance, animal welfare, food quality and sustainability are all topics we touch on.

Above all, we have fun. A lot of it. Food goes best with good company and that’s something we have bags and bags of. Laughter is probably the most important ingredient in all our classes. You needn’t take our word for it though, you can see what our cooks and their parents say here.
