A recipe for global success? Potentially.

Things are bubbling along nicely though.

Two Teaspoons was set up by Becky Beasley in 2012 and has been providing catering services to individuals and businesses, and nurturing the culinary talents of the younger members of society, ever since.

Becky can’t really remember a time when cooking hasn’t been a major part of her life. It was after university, when she worked for Fresh & Wild (now Whole Foods Market), that her love of food developed into something more life-changing. At the time she was also running workshops for children - the two worlds merged and Two Teaspoons was born. Many classes and lots of washing up later, the idea and passion is still going strong.

2025 saw Two Teaspoons win two awards: ‘Best Food, Drink and Hospitality Business’ and ‘Best Start-Up/Micro Business’ at the Merton Best Business Awards. Decided by a panel of judges, the awards celebrate excellence in service, quality and customer experience as well as the ambition and resilience of small businesses. Having their work, passion and dedication recognised, the awards have only increased the team’s collective ambition to feed even more children delicious and healthy food.

Today, the Two Teaspoons team caters for 14 nursery schools in London and the south east, cooking for over 500 children every week. Two Teaspoons is also a keen member of Sustainable Merton, contributing to the Community Fridge every month.

Add to this running regular cookery classes, hosting parties for all ages and participating in charity events for Wimbledon Guild - the stove’s never been busier.
