The day when baubles replaced beans

🎄Last Thursday, we got all festive at our annual wreath making.🎄

After making about 100 litres of veggie bolognese and 600 cookies for our nurseries and doing a LOT of washing up 😅, we sat down to a delicious lunch of smoked salmon with pink pickled onions and capers, prawn cocktail, crusty bread, juicy olives and an amazing chocolate and coffee cake to finish (us) off!  

Then, with Wham’s last Christmas (team favourite) on full blast and secateurs at the ready, we got to work on our wreaths. The kitchen became a hive of activity with some very different ingredients (not a bean to be seen): bundles of spruce and eucalyptus, dried oranges, cinnamon sticks, ribbons, baubles and bells! After a lot snipping, tying, threading, musing, chatting and laughing, here are our creations.

What a jolly holly afternoon!  Let’s hope all our neighbours enjoyed our singing as much as we did. 🎶😜🙉
